Up and Coming? Who's coming?

This being the first post, first of all I'd like to express a little bit about myself. I'm a suburban guy, who just really really likes (and hates some of the things being passed of as) music. Once upon a time, every day, I find myself browsing the internet in hopes of finding something new, something hot (and maybe a bit sexy) to fulfill my musical taste and give me that proverbial boost that we all crave when listening to music. No matter how much you like a band, and how many times you hit that back button on your cd player (or iPod for you fancy shmancy folks), you'll still tire of it at some point of another. This blog exists to try and take the mower to some of those "weeds" that we find in the search for new music, and get to the rich roots of the music tree. (Ahh...Foliage....)

Anywho, I figured that in an initial post, some things need to be stated!

1. If you disagree with me, tell me, and tell me your true feelings. Where else can the faceless combat each other in bold face letters and all caps than the internet? Let's get some conversation and heated debate in this sandbox, and if you do agree, me love you long time.

2. Ahem, Further, if theres something I'm overlooking or a new artist you find incredible seeeeeeennnnndddd mehhhhh sssooooooommmmmeeeeeee comments! That's half the
reason this blog exists, to try and network us critics together and get some goodness brewing.

3. SEND ME COMMENTS ON WHAT TO PUT DOWN FOR THREE.
(Why make a list if you can't even get to three?)

Anyway, now that we're done with the stream of consciousness, I'm off to do research on some bands that will open the first actual post, be it digging up dirt, or dusting off my pedestal for a new band that tickles my fancy.

Well - I'm sitting here listening to Emory at Amazon - it's cool - a little heavier than I normally go for but your comments from the latest review seemed spot on!

I'd love to hear what you think of our current release: Ride - oh - and we're going down the singles road rather than the album road - I think it makes more sense in today's digital world. You can hear the stream here at garageband:

and you check out the site here:

I found you through the blogrush widget and would be happy to write a reciprocal post - well - so long as you don't absolutely trash the track - we're just about to take the show out on the road so - any and all feedback is good.

Good luck with your blog

Andrew
